A classic kettle with a long, narrow spout that gives an even, easily controlled flow for pour-over.
The narrow spout lets the water run at an even, slow pace over the ground coffee or tea leaves. An ordinary kettle instead gives an uneven, pulsing stream that can over-extract the coffee and bring out unpleasant flavours.
Used for Aeropress, Chemex and one- and two-cup porcelain filters, among others.

Do not fill the kettle completely if you boil water in it, as the water will foam over. Alternatively, boil the water in a separate kettle and pour it over.
