Coffee from the womens cooperative Twongere Kawa Coko
A very tasty coffee with shades of orange, pineapple and coconut. Rwanda was the first country in the world to have a female-dominated government and today women are leading the local economy. Coffee cooperatives were originally founded by women and are still run by women. This is the case of the Twongere Kawa Coko cooperative founded by 11 women coffee farmers in 2009 and led by president Therese Nyrangwabije.
